Programs and supports

School leaver programs, groups, camps and respite

Every program is built around the participant's own goals, learning style and pace. Most run from our base in Hastings and out in the Mornington Peninsula community.

Kickstart Program

  • One year
  • School leavers and young adults
  • 2027 places open

Kickstart helps young people with disability build confidence, develop practical life skills and prepare for future employment, at their own pace.

Participants learn cooking and household skills, get hands-on work experience and build job-ready skills. They also have the opportunity to gain recognised certificates, including RSA, Food Handling and Barista Basics.

The program also works on decision-making, positive social behaviour and safe travel skills.

Camps and respite

Camps

We run group camps year-round as Short Term Accommodation (STA). Camps are built around gaining confidence, building independent living skills and growing friendships, with trips to new places around the country.

Respite

Respite is tailored with each participant and their carer to meet their support needs and goals. It takes place at a home in the coastal village of Somers, where participants practise hands-on living skills and enjoy the local area.
